Private Therapy Practice - Who Holds The Mamas
These Terms and Conditions outline the basis on which therapy is offered. By engaging in therapy with Who Holds The Mamas, you agree to the following terms:
1. Therapist Information
Who Holds The Mamas is a private therapeutic practice offering alternative, holistic, and mind-body based therapy. Please note that this is not a clinical practice, and services are not a substitute for medical or psychiatric care.
2. Appointments
Sessions range from 60 - 80 minutes, unless otherwise agreed.
Appointments are offered online.
You will receive confirmation of the session date, time, and location link in advance.
3. Fees and Payment
Payment is due at the time of booking, unless agreed otherwise.
Email confirmations will be used as invoices and receipts.
4. Cancellations and Missed Sessions
You are required to give at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session so that it may be offered to another client.
Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice, or missed sessions, will be charged in full, except in cases of emergency or serious illness.
Repeated cancellations may result in the discontinuation of therapy.
5. Confidentiality
All sessions are confidential, with the following exceptions:
If there is a risk of serious harm to yourself or others.
If there is a safeguarding concern involving a child or vulnerable adult.
If required by a court order or legal obligation.
For clinical supervision, where your identity is not disclosed.

6. Data Protection and Record Keeping
Your personal data is handled in accordance with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
Basic notes are kept securely and are used solely for the purpose of supporting any work together.
You have the right to request access to your records, which will be provided within 30 days.
7. Therapeutic Boundaries
Therapy is a professional relationship. Boundaries will be maintained at all times to protect both client and practitioner.
Any communication between sessions should be limited to scheduling or administrative matters unless otherwise agreed.
8. Contact Outside of Sessions
Who Holds The Mamas does not offer emergency or crisis support outside of scheduled sessions.
In case of crisis, please contact your GP, call NHS 111, or attend your local A&E department.
You may also contact emergency support services such as Samaritans (116 123).
9. Termination of Therapy
You may end therapy at any time. Ideally, this is discussed in advance and planned over one or more sessions.
Who Holds The Mamas also reserve the right to end therapy with appropriate notice if the practitioner believes it is no longer appropriate, ethical, or safe to continue.
10. Complaints and Concerns
If you are dissatisfied or have concerns about any aspect of therapy, you are encouraged to discuss this with the Who Holds The Mamas practitioner directly in the first instance.
By attending sessions, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
