what to expect
The key to healing trauma is to understand it
When we experience a traumatic event, the nervous system becomes overwhelmed. To cope, the brain bypasses the regions responsible for language and rational thinking and puts the body into survival mode.
This protective response, however, can disrupt the processing and integration of the event, causing traumatic memories to fragment, preventing the brain from storing them as something that happened in the past.
As a result the body becomes stuck in survival mode instead of releasing from it, unable to move on from the experience at all.

Whilst every therapeutic journey is unique, trauma work often involves three interconnected stages; stabilisation, reprocessing and integration.
Together, we will work to regulate your nervous system and allow the brain to reprocess and integrate the experience without becoming overwhelmed. As your therapist I will hold whatever comes up as a result.
The aim is not to erase the past, but to help you hold the experience differently, transforming painful memories into manageable ones and enabling them to become part of your story without continuing to control or define your life.

Following your initial consultation, the frequency and duration of our sessions are entirely your choice.
Every woman is different. Some clients choose just a few sessions to process and make sense of their birth experience, while others continue for a deeper therapeutic journey.
There are no prescribed number of sessions and no expectation to commit beyond what feels useful for you.
I offer a service that allows you to access what you need, when you need it. You are the expert in your lived experience, and I am here to support you.
How to Book
I am a UK based practitioner.
All fees are listed in £GBP. Sessions are offered online and scheduled according to UK time in GMT/BST.
Initial Consultation
I offer a free 20-minute initial online consultation, which can be arranged via the enquiry form on the Contact page. This initial consultation provides an opportunity for us to discuss your needs and explore how I may be able to support you.
One-to-One Therapy
One-to-one therapy sessions are available at the following durations and rates:
60 minutes - £120
70 minutes - £140
80 minutes - £160
Group Sessions
Group sessions and workshops vary in length, format, and location depending on the specific offering. Details of upcoming groups and events will be provided periodically.
